A Pocket Guide for Alcohol Screening and Brief Intervention
A pocket guide for alcohol screening and brief intervention from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism includes screening tools (Step 1 & 2) that can be used to determine maladaptive patterns of alcohol use in the patient. Step 3 & 4 of the pocket guide provides guidance on brief intervention for at-risk drinkers and for patients with alcohol use disorders (abuse or dependence).
